Cheers to the guys from Screenreader for another very enjoyable show at the Crane Lane, Cork last Wednesday. For those who missed it we joined forces on stage and opened with Nirvana's Breed with Brian from Screenreader playing second guitar and bass player Dave playing second bass.. Yes two bass players on stage. It was awesome! Next time we might try two drummers who knows. More pics and a live video thanks to Sean Conway coming soon..
guys,Paradox are happy to announce that we will be

player for their last song. Pete also played second
guitar. Sean Conway will be drumming this time around for
Paradox to fill in for Mike Mac who is in Canada. We'll
see what happens this time :)
Just wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came to see us play with Kerbdog last night. We can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable shows we have ever played in Cork. Special thanks to Kerbdog for having us and who rocked the house as alwa...ys. Also big thanks to Sean Conway for playing his debut Cork show with us and for filling in on drum duties while Mike Mac is abroad. And finally thanks to all the guys who rocked out with us up front and bought our album. You Rock!! (Yes the word rock has been mentioned here a lot) Some awesome photos (thanks to Sarah O'Mahony) and hopefully some live video footage coming soon.

In other news....
The New Alternative has arrived!! In
a digital age where short lived one hit singles are being
nicely marketed to the impressionable mainstream and
everything in rock and beyond appears to be superficial
and short lived there's a growing number of really good
alternative bands that need to be heard :) These bands
are independent, hard working musicians that play music
regardless of any current trends in the music scene.
Share with your friends, spread the word... and thanks
for listening :) Download the entire album FOR FREE on
bandcamp at - https://thenewalternative.bandcamp.com/ Featuring
in no particular order - Noiseheads, Social Pretender, Screenreader, PANDORAS BLISS, PARADOX, The K., Senium, Betty Poison,

soundtrack for the Canadian horror movie Truth which was screened at the Cannes Festival

appears in an intense scene on the second half of the
movie. Talks of a soundtrack release are also in the
works but not confirmed yet. Here's the movie for your

Pete Mac Solo show supporting Franz Nicolay :
Franz Nicolay is that
multi-instrumentalist and man-about-town, peddling a
modern vaudeville with full-throated songs and stories
shamelessly strident, stentorian and more than a little
sentimental. He's been a member of cabaret-punk circus
World/Inferno Friendship Society, world's best bar band
The Hold Steady, gypsy-klezmer carnies Guignol, outlaw
orchestra Anti-Social Music, and agit-punks Against Me!;
and performed or recorded with everyone from Leftover
Crack to Bruce Springsteen. He has been a contributor to
magazines from Blender to Impose, is a regular columnist
for the literary journal InDigest, and has released
several collections of essays. His first story
collection, Complicated Gardening Techniques,
was published by Julius Singer Press in 2009. Special
guests on the night are Land Lovers, whos first
record had the Irish Times calling it a rare gem of
a record where you'll find meaty,
magnificent, haunting worlds of domestic wonder.
